* Watermelon breaking game is for Daily class only.
* Field trip fee is not included in the tuition. (7/15, The details will follow at later time.)

Daily Japanese Classes (6 weeks)
Schedule Monday, June 22 – Friday, July 31
Time 9:00 am – 12:00 noon
Age Elementary School Students (K* to 5th)
Tuition $475 for 6 weeks

Program This program covers Japanese reading, writing, conversation and review of the previous school year lessons. In addition, some arts and crafts will be offered.
* Children who will enter Kindergarten 2020 Fall.

Daily Japanese Class / Daily Day Care Programs (6 weeks)
Schedule Monday, June 22- Friday, July 31
Time Japanese Class: 9:00 am – 12:00 noon
Day Care: 8:00 am – 9:00 am, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Age Elementary School Students (K* to 5th)
Tuition $1,105 for 6 weeks

2 Weeks Extended Day Care Program (After 6 weeks seummer program)
Schedule * Monday, August 3 – Friday, August 14
Time 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Tuition $185.00 /one week
$370.00 / two weeks
Material $10
*Minimum of 10 students are required to open this class. This program is subject to cancellation if insufficient number of students.

*Saturday class will be held in the morning.

  • Thursday, July 3: Daily Div. School closed for Independence Day
  • Monday, August 10: School closed for Obon Carnival Clean Up

Registration & Tuition Fee

(Please write check payable to Gardena Buddhist Church)

For the Saturday classes, please submit tuition in full amount with the registration form.
For the daily classes, either full or 50% of the tuition has to be paid upon registration. The balance to be paid by May 29th (Fri). A registration form can be obtained from class teacher or at the office upon request. Sibling discount is available.

We will charge $35 for every returned check.

Current Registered Students Parents need to submit the summer school registration form with tuition by May 16th for reserving a space.
New Students All new students are required to pay a one-time registration fee of $155 in addition to tuition at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Registration fee is non-refundable UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES OR WITH ANY REASONS once registration has been processed.
  2. The tuition and the afternoon program fee are refundable only if the registration is cancelled two weeks prior to school starts.
  3. We charge 10% of the entire cost (both the morning and the afternoon programs) in order to cancel the registration.

  • $35 fee will be charged for every returned check.
  • Students need to wear the summer school T-shirts on every Friday and on the day of the field trip.
  • When a student breaks the school rules, he/she is disturbing the classes and/or abusing classmates, we will discipline him/her and notify the parents. However, if the student does not reconsider and improve his/her attitude and/or behavior after warning and/or discipline, the student will be expelled. When the student is expelled, the registration fee, tuition and any other fees will not be refunded.
